It is crazy to think that we are the only species with a society based on paying for everything nature provides for free. And we do this while destroying all of it. There are now so many screens, bots, and answering machines that it seems like living in a world where there is no one left to actually care for life, except for billions of exhausted people fighting economical crisis, wars, diseases or natural disasters, billions without power. Governments indifferent to life in its most precious aspects. Millions of interactions are fragmented by millions of answering machines, automated systems, and screens... When you think about all this, our creation is a monster but at the same time, of course, Internet is creating amazing stuff, AI is wonderful in some specific situations. But all life is being destroyed and AI contributes to it. We are heading towards an uninhabitable Earth and still so few people do care ! Every process has become incredibly complex ; contracts, laws, amendments, insurance policies, codicils, and hard disks are all overloaded. We expanded our capacity for archiving, and thus, for remembering but we forget life itself. Quite naturally an artificial intelligence solving this artificial mess isn’t a good idea.
