I’m very humbled and happy to join the this social entrepreneurs network as a mentor for social and impact entrepreneurs.
I remember 2019. I was just back from wonderful Skoll forum in Oxford where I had discovered the magnitude of "social entrepreneurship" actions thanks to wonderful lectures, networking events and meetings.
I wanted these ideas and energy to pollinate in Finland so much ! That’s when I started Sustainable Tampere’s page and site, when I joined the great Oxygen2050. And then I created workshops for TAMK and the Tampere Start up Hub (former Y Kampus) to provide students with a tools box to succeed in their impact journey. Covid came, of course, and put everything on hold.
But look how society is changing !! At that time, in Finland, "social" only meant helping vulnerable people. And today, I’m so happy to see that important stakeholders have been working on changing that ! Because you see, social entrepreneurship is a huge field, an inspiring continent made of thousands of entrepreneurs around the world working hard on making the society more fair, more compassionate and more sustainable. Finland has everything in the tank to become a leader in that field, this I’m sure. Isn’t exciting ?
